Yeah I saw that. As I understand it Toyota made some changes on Rev2 and up MR2's to do with the rear suspension geometry which allegedly took care of the snap oversteer problem.

I've not had a snap oversteer moment in the 2 but have had it in other cars. I presume having the engine weight behind you makes it that little bit more *uh-hum* exciting...

If you're suffering from lag, you're either in the wrong gear or the wrong car!

I think only Rev1 was a little out of control...but I don't think it's a major problem anyway. Maybe that's why I love MR2s!

I had a Rev1 for four years and not once did I have that problem. I think the 15 inch 225's at the back made a big difference too.

I had once 90 degree snap on the wet road just starting from lights and turning left.
That was with tyres:
Front 205/40R17 Velozza ZXV
Rear 205/45R17 BCT 5800
One more time I had some oversteer on roundabout but all went very lucky and without stopping I turn right road.

Since I changed tyres to:
Front 215/45R16 TOYO
Rear 225/45R16 KUMOHO
two behave a lot better but I didn't tried too sharp corners after first adventures on wet road.

After those adventures I still like my MR2 REV1
