Howya 7 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 4
Hello folks, just signed up so i suppose i should have some manners and say hello. I have met some of you outside Eddie Rockets walkinstown a couple of months ago. Have a MK3 about a year now and its about time i signed up here, Bit of a Toyota fan boy, started with 1.5 Yaris T-sport, 94 Supra NA, 99 Celica VVTLi and a MR2.

At the moment its a work in progress, I bought with the intentions of using it a fun time car with track days in mind. About 6 months ago we did a 2ZZ swap, which still have to finished completely, at the moment its down on power as it still needs to be mapped. I have planed to have it completely finished by Jan. including full suspension and brake set up.

Here a pic, robbed from a thread on this site.

Welcome to the site, enjoy your stay and see you soon.

A Mrk III with a 2zz is a car I really would like a spin in.

I keep forgetting about this site.

Ive been doing a couple of odds and ends to the car

Seat Leon Cupra R splitter, just felt the front was too plain. €35+VAT, less than an hour to fit.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

Also fitted a pair of sparco seats.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

Ive a set of Coilovers arriving in the next couple of weeks. In the first pic's you can see the upgraded ARB's sitting against the wall on the right. Also have the CHE mid brace fitted and rear lower brace too. Ohh and some Rays wheels getting a lick of paint to :cheer: :cheer:

I was Amazed at how easy the Splitter was to fit, I did in the quite time in work today. Luckily i had use of a air saw which made like very easy. Took about 2 inch's off each end, and trimmed a bit off the center supports. 8 self tappers and bobs your uncle.

I also need to find some 3in flexible hose to run a intake to a cheap carbon box. There's a lot more power in her is she was getting more air.

Being honest, i see myself in time attack in the next couple of years. Just have to get a cage sorted, but i have some one lined up for that. Considering i was doing 2:12-2:14's on my last track day, with leaky rear shocks. The front tyre's were rubbing on the arch liners Should be there or there abouts.

Car is going grand, butchered an old induction kit to use as an air feed to the air box. Seems much happier at higher rev's with the intake sorted.

Still haven't got the coilovers yet, will fit the ARB's at the same time. Had the car out for a trackday in Mondello yesterday. Really enjoyed myself, really got used to the arse letting lose, and catching it more importantly. Coilovers will make a world of difference as the car rubs the arches and was getting fuel surge in parabolica and dunlop.

Nice one, did you do the track day with a club or did you just head along to an 'open day'?
Any footage of your 2 in action from the track day?
