Help, she got shy. Engine cover wont open. 1 Month, 1 Week ago Karma: 91
Hey everyone, damn its been a while since I was here.
Need help on opening engine bay cover on my '92 MK2 n/a.
Last time opened bay cover was 6 months back, all was working OK. Barely could open rear boot lid. With a lot of wd40 it went open. Interior switch almost feels loose. Not even sure with what to start.
Any help appreciated.

If it is a stuck panel then open the boot. This can give you a firm hold on the engine lid and you can lift it a bit from there.

If it is a jammed cable release then you may need to strip the interior and see whats going on.

Almost have a feeling that cable might be off the catch at the latch. Will give it a quick check from boot tomorrow.
