If you're suffering from lag, you're either in the wrong gear or the wrong car!

there are 2 charge points at the Statoil station in Shannon, I've never seen anything plugged in there... maybe they did not have enough range to make it to the charge point

Most likly that are fast charging Tesla stations not just ordinary electric cars.
Tesla can be charged about 80% in 30minutes on proper fast charging station or 8h same on regular charging point. Most likely thats the graph represent. Same is in Poland. I have seen test of Tesla in Poland but they had to charge 8h instead of 30min and had to cancel few tests for TV program.

Yes you are probably right they are showing the Tesla fast charge points. I guess the question is if we have a lot of high tech workers (as the picture shows), it seems strange that we don't have enough demand for high tech fueling?

Maybe if we had lower personal taxes and shut down VRT some of those high tech workers could actually afford high tech cars. Unfortunately the tax approach we have in this country is actually making us lag behind in technology stakes.

Some time last year I tried to check VRT for Tesla Model S on the Motortax site but it wasn't even listed. I email them and never get any answer. This car is pure electric so 0 co2 emissions so shouldn't be pay any VRT?

I just checked again on VRT.ie and Tesla is still not even listed there.

I checked VRT for Nissan Leaf as it is 0 co2 emmisions and it shows Tax is 14% from 0 co2 emissions = 0 VRT to pay.
Should it apply to Tesla too?

The fact that we have VRT on any car is both ridiculous and outrageous. However going by the example you've given above it seems logical that the Tesla should be VRT exempt right?
