I have a aftermarket intercooler for sale, but no piping. mr2.ie/mr2-forum/6-buy-swap-and-sell/688...backing-shroud-plate

I was going to do a twin intercooler setup, but financial circumstances dictate.

looking for piping aswell though..would there be much work involved in that setup and would there be much of an advantage over just a single setup?

I'm sure it would not be too difficult to get the necessary intercooler piping.

I may have some pipes for it, but I would need to have a look. It's quite a while since I last seen them.

I was planning to have my MR2 producing in the region of 450 bhp and thought it necessary for the extra intercooler.

It has never been installed so no damage. It has been sitting in my parents garage so isn't as shiny as when I bought it, but aluminium goes like that.

I will take a look tomorrow.

I can only seem to find the pipe that connects to the lower intercooler inlet.

The backing shroud is a good idea. The air has to go through, instead of around the intercooler therefore making the most of the intercooler. The upgraded fan is also good at removing more heat quickly.

The combined results help with other upgrades to produce more power and you can stay on boost for longer. I would recommend both upgrades.
