Has anyone bought anything from these guys? They have a twin exhaust system (for the turbo) similar to the Japspeed variant on ebay for £189.99 - sounds too good to be true.

cgi.ebay.ie/Toyota-MR2-Turbo-Cat-Back-Ca...;hash=item230e7da18d

Japspeed are an extra £100 and the Mongoose is £200 more. I'm guessing it's a case of 'you get what you pay for' in this instance.

Cheers Ricky. These exhausts are obviously for track cars only. Does anyone have the Japspeed exhaust system?

Ricky2 has one in his garage - back box only I think. It was on his car and is loud although this may have been partly to do with other sections of the exhaust.

At the Scottish highland run last year there was a Japspeed NA that left one of hte lunch stops. It was on a bay. As he drove away, to the village and then along the otherside of the bay you could still hear his exhaust very clearly. This was the case until he went out of view which was probably about 1.5 to 2 miles away

Brandless ebay stuff is great for small odds and ends but for major engine componants, always stick with trusted brand names, not just for quality of materials, but for fitment, testing and comeback / warranty / proper supplier you can get on the phone and so on...

Or if you can find someone selling a good condition second hand branded part, that would be sweet. Check on MR2.co.uk, always nice bits n bobs for sale on there. You could get lucky.

I have a Motoria/Japspeed on my Rev2 and its very droney. The guy I bought the car from was fitting it the day I picked it up. My one is buggered though. The roads up here are a disgrace and the bottom of the cans are not dented flat! On top of that it didn't fit right and it rattled off the cross member constantly. Had to take it off and batter it with a rubber mallet!

It is loud too. It rattles door knockers and shakes windows! Think I'm going to change mine when I get a decent JDM system lined up.
