Well its mapped on 95 now so should be alright, not possible to get anything higher than 95 around here, and E85 is discontinued too, if it wasnt id have a second map on the ecu for it. I think meth injection and some sort of intercooler spray eg a CO2 spray should help.
This is the first time its happened, the heat in the engine bay was ridiculious on sunday so i should have it sorted in the near future

Hey Dara, another thing you could try that is quite cheap is to use a TRD thermostat. That will allow your cooling system to keep your engine 10 degrees lower in general. Cooler engine = less heat build up in engine bay.
You might need a slight tweak on your LINK in the water temp corection tables but shouldn't need remapping.
Lots of drag guys also put ice on their intercooler but it's pretty hard to find a handy ice supply just hanging around at an air strip I guess!

Ya il look into a thermostat, wheres best to get a TRD one? Ill be changin my rad too soon enough, gettin an aluminium one made up local.
Kinda hard to get any ice around the intercooler since its a front mount, it was more the intake manifold that was sorching, the the pipe coming into the throttle body running over the engine, is there any sort of wrap to go around the ic piping to reflect the heat?

You can buy TRD thermostats from Fensport: www.fensport.co.uk. ATS Racing sell a low temp 3sgte thermostat also: www.atsracing.net
I think you can just wrap them in aluminium foil from your kitchen. With the shiny side out.

Nice one. I shouldn't be too hard to spot. I'll be the one that looks like he had a bad nights sleep in a tent.
Just a reminder that its two weeks until race day. And if anyone wants to race, you can save yourselves £10 by paying in advance via the website www.straightlinersenniskillen.com

Hi everyone,
Its now less than three weeks until the last Straightliners event of the year. After the weather let us down in July, we're back in Enniskillen's St. Angelo's airport on Sunday the 18th September for another full days drag racing.
As always, gates will open at 9am, racing will start at 10am, and continue without interruption until the finals around 4pm, with the day ending at 5pm.
Competition is open to cars, bikes, quads, buggy's, whatever you want to race. It doesn't have to be road legal, it just has to be safe.
Classes as always will be split into:
Demo
Top Car
11.3 second
12.3 second
13.3 second
14.3 second
15.3 second
Gate admission for everyone is £10
Entry to the show and shine is free for anyone who wants to enter, and race entry is £45 for unlimited runs (the earlier you get there, the more races you can have).
Competitors can pre-register online and get their gate entry for free (save yourself £10).
From 10am till 4pm you can race whenever you want, against whoever you want.
Any questions feel free to post or pm
See you there
