If you're suffering from lag, you're either in the wrong gear or the wrong car!

that looks serious fast!
I wonder would an MR2 be any good for a Hillclimb?
Havnt seen one yet but with the right suspension, i'd say it would be good in its class

Been Hillclimbing for the last 10 years
Love it,
Loads of Hillclimbs here, all over the country
WWW.Irishhillclimb.com for info

Ive been long thinking about using a Nissan Skyline GTR or some other big BHP Jap car for doing them
But recently been thinking that an MR2 could be a weapon of choice

I mostly use my 1.8 VVC MG ZR but this is my old Mk1 Golf GTI from a few years ago

I don't know much about hillclimbing at all but I would have imagined that a front wheel drive would be better for it?

There is a roll cage in that one, so you could well find some goodies under the engine cover

MR2's have a lot of grip so should be fun. I would be biased towards turbo for the extra torque though..

I think a standard V6 would eat a standard turbo on a hill climb. Harder to get, for obvious reasons, but that would be the way to go IMO

Lol don't get me wrong personally I'd choose RWD over FWD any day though when I think about climbing a hill in a car, a FWD seems to make more sense. Though I imagine a 4WD would trump both :P

Pretty sure they would all be in a different class. 4WD would be a big advantage but only if it has the power to overcome the extra weight/drag.

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

My choice would be an MR2 turbo!!! Hyde took a few hillclimb records back in the day:
