Mondello Track Training Day 5 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 35
Hey guys,

I am going to the Mondello Track Training day in January 26th (well places permitting), going to be giving the place a ring tomorrow to organise if anyone else is interested might make a good day out and a chance to get familiar with the track before going to a full open day and what not .

Anyways I will get an idea of cost (think its 50e) and if there are many places and report back.

Not sure if this was a Motorsport section or Events section post

Sounds cool, nice one Baz! I'm hoping to go to something there also but it would be later in the year for me due to busy work commitments around that time.

No bother at all will update at lunch time its pay in advance so i will let you know if its anymore than 50 and i charge a 10% a week interest rate plus transaction fee :-p

oh btw a drop down tow hook would be recommended for the day incase you go off, cause if they cant push/tow you out its the telescopic forklift for you

Ya was an absolute blast and defo a good idea before a full track day to get an idea of conrer entry etc.

One of the lads attending took pictures for the day and as soon as he has them uploaded I will post the links here

If you never do a track day, this training is great to get to know the handling characteristics of the MR2 so thats a big plus

Very interested in the March track day so will let ye know if I am going.

A track would be great. I don't mind bringing the camera gear, get a few trackside shots and then could also slap the GoPro on people's cars and maybe make a little MR2.ie montage?

And if anyone is looking for cheap camera, check eBay for the 808 #11 cameras, very surprising and cheap enough for what they are. PM me for more info, myself and a mate use 3 of them

I thinking of getting a go pro this year for this exact purpose, how do you rate them and any particular model, sorry for the hijack.

If I don't have one this year I will be in touch if you want a car to strap it into

I've the Hero at the moment but will eventually be going for the Hero2. Faster FPS, better in Low Light, more features, more connections available. It just rocks. And to get some inspiration, Youtube GoPro Hero 2 and click on the GoPro sponsored link at the top. It makes you want to quit your job and sell your family to travel the world.

On cars, I use the GoPro mounted to a Fat Gecko rig. I trust it because I suctioned to the car before and stood on with all my weight (which is.....enough)

Oh! drop me a PM when your selling the Hero, can you PM me with a video link you would have done with it or how do you rate it for car work.

I suppose we should get this back to the OP topic,

TRACKDAYS FTW!!!

Hehe for some reasons I wasnt getting updates on this thread , but camera's for the track days very relevant topic

Here are links to the photo albums, they are mainly of the main straight so nothing too exciting :-p

There is a tonne of them so I though it was best to link the albums rather than try and embed the pics directly
