n/a to turbo 4 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 80
right well ive had my 2 a year now and im after doing a lot to the car so much that i dont want to just sell it and buy a new car i was thinking of upgrading to a turbo so i will need a turbo engine and a turbo gearbox is their anything else i would need ecu? brakes?
thanks lads this will only go ahead if i can actually get insurance on it after the conversion

Ul need the engine loom. The injectors. Also the interior loom that runs from the passenger footwell through to the engine bay-this will allow you just to plug and play-otherwise ul need to do rewiring. Probably need a whole new exhaust-manifold,downpipe, cat and box

Nope not yet, still have everything but the engine would need looking at internally at this stage

id try and get the gen 4 if i can but i was gonna buy a donor car and just swap over the parts would the turbo engine just fit straight in to the na?

The engine bay is the same size so no problem there. Not to sure about Gen 4 engine gearbox wise as i have only seen them in caldina's as standard I have seen pictures of swaps but not sure how they did it as the caldina is four wheel drive. Now there's an idea for someone far more talanted than me. Sean you could make the lambo 4x4

thanks lads the more i read up about it the more i want to do it.
that write up infamous put up is very good i will be doing the same buy a donor car etc im planning on stripping the hole car respray full engine build etc its gonna be like a new car i wont be starting for another few months have to save a bit of money to start the build
