How to replace front bumper indicator light? Gen2 6 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 58
Hi everyone,

I quickly searched but couldn't find a specific topic regarding replacing the front bumper indicator light for a Gen2 MR2 (89-99). I'm really frustrated at the moment because the indicators on my car are loose and I'm not entirely sure if it's broken or if I could simply tighten a screw. Has anyone replaced theirs recently or would be able to provide me with some instructions?

Cheers

Is it the small reflector piece that keeps popping out?

To tighten the indictor strip you need to remove the wheel well plastic to the front on the wheel and get to the back of the strip with a 10mm socket or spanner on 2 off nuts. The bulb can also be replaced from this area.

You could get away with removing some bolts and this might give you enough access to tighten them up but it will be hard to see what you need to tighten without removing the plastic altogether the first time you do this.

Thought as much they look after market: autoart? indicators...as per previous advice Ive gotten from slips/ray...pry out the reflector bit and tighten the screw behind there, then wrap the metal nipple on the reflector piece in some insulation tape (not much required) until it fits nice and tight......your lucky those reflectors are still on the car.

My bad thought it was the side repeater (can't spell toblerones) you were trying to tighten.
