passenger side front wheel stuck 3 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 15
Hello lads n lassies... went to take the 2 out to day
first time since September. . The passenger side front wheel will
not budge looks like the break calliper is fused to the break
disk car is parked on gravel sloping down towards the house...
so not a good situation for jacking it up...any ideas lads. .??
And how will I free the caliper from the disk. ..pass me the hammer??
Any suggestions plz

Gravel is not going to give much grip to force the wheel to turn, so you either drive it forward to get it on the level and then take a hammer to the pads, or try going forward then reversing it a little to see if that helps break them.

Have tried forward and backwards. . All it does is push the gravel
.....it is parked in a very tight spot it has 3 feet in front and 3 feet behind to manoeuvre
ill have jack it were it is...do you think if I take the wheel off
and belt the calipers a couple of times it will free up..or will I need
to strip the whole lot down. .?

Have you tried getting a long narrow bar or screw driver route it thru the spokes of the wheel, put it on the caliper or pads and give it a few smacks with a hammer to try loosen the grip on the discs.

If not I would drive it kicking and screaming to level ground before thinking of jacking it up.

Yeah I'd hit the caliper a good smack with a bar and a hammer should free it off for you to move it somewhere more suitable to fix it properly

So in the end I jacked up the duce were she stood..
slipped two spare wheels under the front and one either side..for back up
support in case she collapsed. .took off the wheel. . And went at the
caliber wit a crow bar /hammer/large flat head screw driver..and ten mins later...
success. ...all freed up and rolling like lunatic. .now all buffed up and
back on the road all I need now is sunshine. ..
