Guys, skip to 3:50 in this vid

Now that you've seen that I think we need a skid pan day later this year

So far I have found this place in Ireland for skid pan training. Anyone know of any others?

Looks interesting indeed, might get it for me Da considering he put my car lightly into a ditch before he started fixing my emmisions problems

Might get myself down for the advanced course at some stage, knowledge is never a bad thing.

hmm so they do. I couldn't find it before, it is tucked away on their site.

Once we get a list of venues I will contact them and see who will offer the best deal.

Hey, i did the one in mondello. was just me and my dad out with instructor for 3 hours. was well done, everything happens bellow 40 mph and in a controlled environment. it lots of fun but defiantly designed to teach you how to react more than show you a good time...thats more of a bonus that come with it. it was fairly pricey and i'm unsure if they would cater to large groups. the day we went there was only the one instructor and one car available so they would probably make a large group take turns or something.

ahh ok, probably not the layout that we would look for. Years ago I visited a WRX club skid pan day where they brought you out with an instructor for a 'skid circuit' then after you had the idea you could drift around it all you wanted. Was a good setup. Unfortunately I wasn't driving on the day and always regretted it..

Best to do it in your own car, I don't think a BMW or Audi or whatever is going to handle like an MR2 - unless Mondello use a porsche or ferrari

I'd love if there was somewhere they would attach the skid frame to your own car - would love to do it in an MR2

You don't need all the wheels etc, some of them have a special coating and then just hose it

Just got to get the price down to a reasonable level as Leinster are looking for €240 per person...
