Had a great weekend...so good to meet everyone.

Shattered and sore head but was worth it

I will eventually get around to KCin the lads for helping me out on the way home when Spidey broke my car No seriously though it was so good to see everyone hang around until Slipsliderg got it back on the road.

Weather was pox but didn't dampen the moods.

Big thanks to Ray and the Lads for getting Lors car back on the road.

Looks like I missed a good weekend.

Typical that it broke down when I'm away.

Yeah, was a great weekend. Thanks to everyone and especially those that cam up for the day - was a lot of driving but great to see everyone.

Sorry for breaking your car, Scooby But at least we tested it out well by taking a scenic route home

Was great that Ray was able to find the problem with the car and was brilliant when he came up with an ex-mr2 owner to drop down with allen keys

Nice to meet up with everybody, to the Cork / Tipp boys fair play to you all for the miles covered just to say hello. Pity the weather was sh1te.

Good crack was had by Mr & Misses Slipsliderg, roll on the next meet/session/etc.

The drive down was interesting, managed to break a turbo trying to keep up with my slow N/A but Karma came back on that and I ended up fixing one in return.

Thanks to MOG7 for coming down with the tools to do a temp fix, from now on I am bringing a selection of tools along. Mark if your reading this and you are ever stuck up Dublin/Meath/Kildare direction ring me night or day.

Spidey is terrible hard on cars, first he breaks his own, get a lift with Quandry and puts peer pressure on him to hand the N/A its ass, which results in a broken undertray, then Lorraine lets him drive her car and he busts the driveshafts without even trying. God man your a legend, I am taking the passo seat out of my car next time your around.

Lorraine, glad to hear you got home safe and sound, to fix that up properly I would splint the joint and put in more CV grease then tighten it up with the new bolt and washers. Make sure you tighten it up to the correct torque's.

Washer Part No. 43489-17010
Bolt Part No. 90110-10007

Eamo, anything the previous owner did on the car I would have a bolt check on if I was you, didn't notice anything but just to be on the safe side.

No posts from Dshamrock or Swagger since their last wrong turn, hope they make there way out of Laois.

I reckon DShamrock and Swagger made two wrong turns.

The first was taking a wrong turn and going back to the residents bar at 3.30 and staying up til 6am ! If they didn't take that wrong turn, then they probably wouldn't have headed down Laois direction !

Great day/night, pleasure meeting the new faces and seeing everyone. I actually had a great time despite the fact that we got very little time outside with the cars because of both the rain and the fact that the cars were spread out all over the place.

Yeah, staying up so late/early was not a great idea for sure. Took the rest of the weekend off from MR2 life, did nothing whatseover in fact.

Ray, I used that N80 all the time when I lived in Athy, was my route home from the Galway office before the M6 was finished. So once I saw the sign for it, I went for it. Straight through Mountmellick and Portlaoise and on to the M7 back up to Naas. Its a lovely scenic route and believe it or not, I had the music pumpin' and really enjoyed the drive home, although, it was a massive relief to finally get home and chill out!

Killer that we have pretty much zero pics, but sure hey....there will be other meets like this im sure....

I hear yah, was just joshing you, of course Spidey (aka "The Motor Mauler" ) had the blinkers on and went to follow you. Again the N/A had to act as interceptor and haul him back to the proper road albeit I went the wrong way off one roundabout on the way back as well.

To be fair, I should have let him/you know that I was going that way, but I didn't realise he was following us, just assumed you guys would head back on the M6 as you were all heading back to Meath/North Dublin. Didn't really suit us to go that way, but we would have gone that way if we were not so tired.

Remember the days of maps and a sense of direction, oh and a CB for following the rally's. Simple days where you could get where your going, buy driving while reading a map on roads you don't know with your girlfriend screaming in your ear while all your mates follow like sheep and call you on the 1-9 "anyone there for a copy"

I used to be our Sat Nav when we went to the rally's for years, and in a strange way I regret getting a sat nav as I miss just driving and enjoying it instead of beating the damn time the machine post up as your arrival time.

At least when I broke cars, I try to make like it was an accident. You guys came over to my house for an organised "lets pretend to help Spidey fit his chargecooler and injectors but we'll really give him an air leak and break his car" night ! And I have the naivety to get the lovely Texas BBQ feast Dominos pizza and garlic bread, while I was blissfully unaware that they were putting an air leak into my fuel rail.

Hey Slipsliderg, remember I was talkin about that blue mk3 in nolans car-sales place? The one with the gold wheels?? Did you get around to lookin at it and if not could you sometime if your near?!? I was talkin to my Dad about it and he was saying the money I m spending on my own a bout 1500 after re-spray, supercharger, alloys, ect...
I'd be going up 15years for for only 3000, only 200 bucks a year. Definatly something to think about if its a good one. You kinda frightened me off it with talk off pre-cat destroying vvti engines though
I said I'd write here to remind you
