Can the meeting time in Kilkenny or Carlow be a little later (about 12-1230)? assuming it is about 1-1 1/2 hr drive from Dub, 11am still means a real early start.

Is the plan to meet up for lunch or a game of bowling or coffee or is everyone just planning to drool over my car

spanky I'm no good at those bloody google maps. do a search on google maps for Travelodge, castleknock, dublin 15 and you'll see it, it's very close to the m50 and quite easy to find. I'll meet you and ricky there. I think if we say 10am if people want to get a fry and leave there at 10.30

As for the the car colour debate I have to agree with spanky about the carrib blue, silver is the 2nd best colour

(spanky, don't leave your car unnatended with the keys in it at the meet, it won't stay there long )

My thoughts would be to have a meeting point for spanky etc in dublin for 11am, i'll meet yis on your way down the N7 and I reckon Carlow would be best because by the time we hit kilkenny were in Lunch time territory and NewPark car park would be packed, My only other suggestion would be the Big car park / food halls in Portlaoise which would be a fairly straight run for everyone?

that dome place sounds pretty decent. seems like it provides everything that people might need food, tea/coffee, toilets and entertainment and such

10am for a 10:30 leave sounds OK to me. It means me leaving at about 8am and a little earlier for Ricky.

Ricky - if you decide to go we can meet up en route (probably Newry). We can arrange something on Friday night as the result of the dreaded MOT will be known by then

Yes guys I think the Dome is the place to go.

The simple instructions are (from Dublin): Take the N7, take the N9 turn off the N7 (I think that's the big ball?) then take the N80 turn off from the N9 and head for the Portaloise road. Once you see the Talbot hotel, the dome is just to the left of it.

The map can be found here: www.dome.ie/contact_form I recommend you print it out now - don't ring me when you're on the road it's too late by then, plan ahead!!!!

Take Junction 11 off the N7 and then your on the N9

My Car is Very Sick due to a Dope trying to bite off more than he could chew!! I deffo wanna go but may not have my 2 back by then!!! If anyone has a spare seat................

I think if its The Dome at 12, leaving the Little Chef at 11am is fine. So, maybe Little Chef meet at 10:30 - half an hour is enough for brekkie. Gives Spanky and Ricky2 an extra half hour in bed (separate beds, that is !)

Fingers crossed for MOT tomorrow morning. I got my car back yesterday evening and I am not convinced about the brake balance due to a new calliper but too late to get anything done about it as I couldn't get it back tot he mechanic today, so will have to wait and see.

Hopefully I will be posting good news tomorrow night

I left my car into a guy who used to be in the Club yrs ago and knows the car like the back of his hand!! He told me the guy that "TRIED" to fix the car just F**KED it up more!
