Engine temp gauge when up to 75 percent and steam was coming from below the coolant tank and the rear of the passenger side engine.

I need to drive ten miles to get home. Is there anything I can do to sort this out? Can I too it up with water until I get it to a garage?

what milage is your car at?could be the dreaded hose from hell.not sure about driving it tho check your water level and see if its completley empty.if it is top it up.start it and watch the gauge.if it starts rising any bit turn it off straight away.if not u might be able to gently get the car home.thats what i done with mine.

thats the job so.sounds like the hose from hell.they usually give up at around the 90-100k mark

awful job can be done with the engine in but you'd prob want someone with a lot of patience.and tiny hands!

for a lot of people its an engine out job.i had to find that out the hard way myself

if it is that im sure i have all the part numbers for the bits you'l need saved somewhere let me know and ill find em.

I had all the coolant hoses replaced with smack ones about six months ago when the engine was out. It bloody better not be them.

Yes
The hoses from hell are the pipes that run from the engine to the front heater metrics the easy around them is to run hoses along the old pipes with cable ties.

Think it's about 8 euro for the part from Toyota itself!

Its probably not even that ...Darcs turbo started overheating on the Joe o Reilly run and it was a loose clip somewhere.

Good luck with the repair

Awesome. There is a little bit of a leaking coming from the (and I guessing the part here) water pump elbow going towards the turbo. It doesn't have and clamps on it.
