I think I got a bit of wear in the above.

Is the easiest way to remove by detaching the strut or taking the lower arm off?

If its the bottom ball joint the easiest is to pull the botom arm down, leave the strut in place.

You may need a pry bar to drop the bottom arm enough, handy enough job. Especially if you can do it on a ramp.

Ball joint ordered, must pick up a ball joint breaker too while I'm at it.
