Hi guys, today I found a leak as seen in the photos below.
My car is running just fine, but now I wonder if anyone here would be able to confirm if it's something major. Please let me know what you think based on the photos.

Looks like a fresh enough oil leak to me. Big one as well, did you check the rocker cover gasket or possibly the seal on the distributor. Looking at it, a good snoop around should tell you fairly quickly.

Keep an eye on the oil level daily until you get it sorted out.

You can get oil leak detection dye which will help you find where it is leaking from.

www.ebay.ie/itm/UV-Dye-UV-Torch-Kit-Leak...;hash=item35ba0df8d3

If you get this, then give the engine a good clean before you use it.

Thanks guys, I really didn't do much of an inspection. I didn't notice any change in performance either, so I think I should try to take it a mechanic sometime soon.

Like slipsliderg said keep an eye on engine oil, if its staying at the same level then it must be your gearbox, if its your gearbox then nothing to worry about lol
My gearbox leaks oil slowly and it looks similar to whats on your pics.

Thanks, I was watching the oil level for quite a while and no major changes found...but I will continue to keep an eye on it. Thanks again everyone.

Probably not this - but funny enough was looking at a leak on my cousins tyreR the other night - he hadn't put the dipstick in far enough and it was coming out of there.
