Thanks for getting back to me man.. I have a rev 4 but it has a bigger turbo on it.. I have been reading up on the turbo that I have and getting mixed reviews on spool time, many poeple saying that it should spool up very quickly, but I have a lot of turbo lag and takes awhile to reach full boost aswell. So was just wondering what a normal mr2 boosts at? So I can see were I stand.
Sorry I kinda went off topic

No problem. Well I have a rev 3 with standard air breather and i still have cat and factory back box but I must have a 1 bar actuator. I start making decent power at around 3000 and serious power around 4500 and from there it just keeps going I don't like to push it hard for long as I want to fit a charge cooler to keep it safe at the higher boost. I will check tomorrow night if i get a chance to see at what revs I hit a bar. Decat, free flow exhaust and induction kit should help you if you don't already have them.

Ya I have a exhaust and air filter but still have a cat aswell.. I'm not getting 1 bar until I get to about 100 mph. Very annoying, think my boost controller could be set arsed ways

That's defo not right you should probably try a mbc as a temp measure just to see if its the set up is wrong I would have no prob making a bar at half that speed from what I recall . don't really pay much attention to the boost gauge as it never seems to over boost. Is the car running smooth otherwise pulling smoothly through the revs

And obviously this speed was achieved on a closed circuit and not on public roads ...

Thanks for the info got92 tubby. When it boosts but just had a lot of lag then boosts til about .6 or .7 bar then at 100 mph it hits 1 var and takes off like a rocket.. If I keep my foot down it will start to creep maybe up to 1.2 bar.
Sorry if I'm been a wreck the head haha, I haven't drove the car in awhile, doing abit of work on it atm.

It's a blitz uras boost controller. Trying to read up on it myself.. Mite just take it out and see if it boosts any quicker. Mite give me a better idea.. If its set wrong or a solenoid is knackered

Ya I'm after getting hold of a vacum tester aswell.. See if the actuator is holding pressure, the diagram could be worn out aswell
