Allright boys and girls here is my new idea!

I am going to build 3S-GTE engine with 12.7:1 Compression and use stock turbo CT20B with about 1.5Bar pressure (~22PSI)
Ofcourse It would be mad to use such high compression on regulas gas thats why im going to use E85.

ofcourse whole fuel system will be turned to use E85 and pistons and rod will be uprated.
Im going to use N/A cams with bigger valve duration and lift.
Cam duration (IN/EX) - 252°/240°
Cam lift (IN/EX) - 9.8mm/8.2mm

You guys have any thoughts about this?
Am I going to run in some trouble with cam timing and valves?

This is very interesting, well done on having your homework done. I haven't seen any body else take on this project.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Best of luck with the project.

Sounds interesting. 1.5 bar on a CT20B is pretty high!!

I did some stuff with e85 a few years ago and it seemed like great fuel however I thought it had pretty much died out. Can you still buy it handy enough?

Thanks! I will.
I found someone on other board trying to do the same high compression e85 also but he has a fully build engine with bigger turbo.
Hes not done yet so Its nice to see how it will work out on each of us

I live in Finland and getting E85 I not a problem. Actually because of the European Union regulations on emission. Its coming more popular all the time as they are rising ethanol content of all our fuels.

I forgot to mention that both cams are from Gen3 engines.

I have read CT20B can handle 1.5Bar pretty well for some reason??
But I might not even want to push it so far at this point. My goal for now is to make ~375-400 HP at the flywheel but I want much as possible "off boost" performance.

Many have said that I will blow my motor with such high compression but I have read that the limit CR on E85 fuel is 19:1 And if thats true ~13:1 is nothing Especially on low boosted engine.
